Voice Actor Steven Blum Discusses X-Men Anime
posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
Marvel's official website has released a clip of voice actor Steve Blum (Cowboy Bebop, The Big O, Naruto) discussing his role as Wolverine in the X-Men television anime series. In the clip, Blum, who has played Wolverine in the Wolverine and the X-Men and The Super Hero Squad Show animated television series and in various video games, discusses returning to the character of Wolverine and how his background in anime has helped him with this role.
The 12-episode series will premiere on the American television channel G4 on Friday at 11:00 p.m. ET with Scott Porter playing Cyclops. This summer, G4 aired Marvel's Iron Man and Wolverine Anime, and Marvel's Blade Anime will be released through the same partnership with G4 this coming winter. The Japanese Studio Madhouse produced all four Marvel Anime series.
The story of X-Men revolves around the title mutant team being reunited after the death of a teammate. The members search in Japan for a missing teenage girl, Hisako Ikichi. "There, they encounter the fanatical and anti-mutant group, U-MEN, and discover what was important enough for Xavier to bring them back together."
