Dark Horse Signs New Agreements for Domo Merchandise

The retails news source ICv2 reports that Dark Horse Comics has signed additional multi-year agreements with Big Tent Entertainment to develop additional merchandise based on the the NHK mascot Domo. Additionally, the accessories manufacturer Concept One will release a new line of Domo merchandise, including computer sleeves and bags.
Domo debuted as the mascot of the NHK public broadcaster, and has since starred in a continuous string of stop-motion animated shorts. The Big Tent Entertainment brand agency premiered 20 shorts on the Veoh online video service in 2008. Dark Horse Comics has been also promoting Domo with vinyl figures and other items. Also in 2008, the Target chain of American retail stores recruited Domo as its mascot for its Halloween costume campaign. In 2009, the 7-11 chain of convenience stores offered a limited-edition Domo-branded Slurpee drink.
