Japan's 2nd Hello Kitty Aptitude Test to Run in April
posted on by Egan Loo
To mark the 35th anniversary of its most famous character, the design and licensing company Sanrio will hold its second Hello Kitty Aptitude Test event at Japan's Sanrio Puroland amusment park on April 3. Participants must qualify by answering 25 questions in 20 minutes to demonstrate their "aptitude" in all things Hello Kitty. Those who pass this first stage will then go one-on-one in a live quiz event.
The winners will earn a one-night's stay for two at the "Hello Kitty Room" at the Grand Hai-Lai Hotel in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. All 400 participants who pay 500 yen (about US$6) will receive an original Ichigo Shimbun zipper fastener mascot figure.
Comedian and singer Tomoharu Shōji will serve as the emcee at the event's special talk show with a guest appearance by Hello Kitty creator Yuko Yamaguchi. The first Hello Kitty Aptitude Test was held in 2009.
