 A young schoolgirl, Pai, is frightened by a strange beggar boy. He insists she should know him; his name is Yakumo. She flees, but is knocked unconscious. In a strange nightmare, Pai dreams that she is the sole survivor of a mysterious race of immortals whose destiny is to destroy Kaiyan Wang, lord of darkness and demons.  When she awakens Yakumo speaks of a special bond they share, and reveals that she has fallen under a spell to make her forger her true identity. Suddenly, the two are under attack by an army of frightening dolls–pawns of the evil Kaiyan Wang. Pai trusts her inner sense and calls forth amazing powers to defeat these foes: "I know who I am, and I know what I must do!" Pai and Yakumo must now continue their quest together, and meet a priest in Tibet who will reveal more...
