Trivia:

The original Kinnikuman series was shown in Japan in the early 80's. Kid Muscle's father, King Muscle was the main character in it.

Ultimate Muscle: The Kinnikuman Legacy, which is being shown on the FoxBox, isn't the first appearance of the Kinnikuman series in North America. In the early 90's, characters from the original Kinnikuman such as King Muscle and Robin Mask appeared as small collectable "M.U.S.C.L.E." figurines being sold at toy stores.

With this series, the character Ramenman has had five different seiyuu's since the original Kinnikuman anime: Eiji Kanie, Banjou Ginga, Katsuji Mori, Yuuji Mikimoto, and now Kenichi Ono.

Seiyuus Hideyuki Tanaka and Daisuke Gouri reprise their roles of Terryman and Robin Mask (respectively) whom they haven't played since the first Kinnikuman anime. Masaharu Satou, the new voice of Chariman Harabote, also reprises his role of Sunshine (whom only he has ever played). Hideyuki Hori (original voice of Warsman) returns as well, but to play Kinkotsuman.

With this series, only two seiyuus have been involved with every incarnation of Kinnikuman: Akira Kamiya and Masaharu Satou. Kamiya played Kinnikuman in both of the first anime's as well as the first Ultimate Muscle movie, but was replaced by Toshio Furukawa for the TV series. Apart from Sunshine, Satou has never played the same role twice.
