Rurouni Kenshin 26: Lightning Incarnate
1) Not an Edit... Blood left on Kaoru's shoulder as she tends to Kenshin.
2) Blood digitally removed from Kaoru's shoulder as she calls to Kenshin.
3) Blood removed from Ginjou's eye after Shura strikes him down.
4) Ginjou's "That snooty little bitch" changed to "That snooty little girl".
5) Ginjou's "Opium!" changed to "Poppies!" when he looks into Senbonya's crate.
6) Ginjou's "So he must be importing opium from foreign merchants and selling it here in Japan" changed to "So he must be importing Poppies from foreign merchants and selling them here in Japan."
7) Senbonya's "They probably found a mountain of opium in those crates by now..." changed to "They probably found a mountain of Poppies in those crates by now..."
8) Ginjou's "From now on we'll be the ones to deliver all your opium shipments." changed to "From now on we'll be the ones to deliver all your poppy shipments."
9) Ginjou's "And because we'll be the ones who'll be delivering the opium for Senbonya..." changed to "And because we'll be the ones who'll be delivering the Poppies for Senbonya..."
10) Blood spray and wound digitally removed when bullet strikes Shura's thigh.
Opium was introduced in episode #8. I don't see much point in trying to cover it up now. This episode makes Senbonya look like he smuggling contraband flowers. Granted, opium is derived from the poppy but substituting them for the drug itself tones down what Senbonya is up to. It's also rather insulting to the intelligence of the audience.
