Sounds like she's using medication and just trying to avoid the inevitable. For someone with a job that's going to cause eye strain to normal eyes I would think her only two real options are surgery or blindness. If it's effecting her work this badly over the past few months then I doubt there's such a thing as 100% for her any more.

A couple years ago, several of Azuma's sketches were sold by a charity to aide those affected by the tsunami. Of all the artists that were active at the time of the earthquake, Azuma, by far, donated the most in terms of artwork that ended up being sold by this charity on Yahoo Japan. A couple of other artists would donate one, maybe two sketches, but for several weeks, the charity always had at least once Azuma sketch for sale. I managed to pick up one of them, partially because it looked nice but because I was blown away with how much artwork this one artist drew to benefit others that I thought it would only be right to help out.
I'm really, really sorry to hear that Azuma-sensei is experiencing glaucoma and I hope she makes a speedy and full recovery. Hearing that something like this has happened to her has made me want to treasure this sketch even more.

I'm really touch by what @Cutiebunny posted. I am also trying to buy Azumas works as many as possible in these days on yahoo, including her illustrations for star ocean, erementar gerad, night walker, get and each erementar gerad comic. I really love her works especially erementar gerad. Many of my friends grew up reading eg and now have their own children. I hope azuma's work and azuma herself may not be forgotten.

Erementar Gerad is still one of my very favorite manga, and I remember how happy I was to get a Ren figure and Cisqua cow plushie. I've been looking forward to reading Bluesky every week on Avarus, and it was strange when it was delayed so many times without any notice or explanation. Hell, Cisqua is my very favorite character in all of manga and anime (I got so excited when Ange voiced by Mizuki said her catchphrase "Brute force~" in Cross Ange). I'm still searching for the limited edition drama CDs that adapt the end of the manga.
I'm really worried for her, and I hope she's able to get even a bit better soon.
