I think there's only one comment that can sum this up:

"What?"

I mean...wow...really? xD

No thanks, with the money from all those CD purchases I could get me 12-14 games in Japan with at least 20 hours of replayability.

Should be no surprise to us, this is nothing new.

Though one hundred years from now, we should go to Japan, and look for these lost albums in the local garbage dumps, (just like ET here), after all, what are you going to do with a hundred CD's after you had your date, or received you ultimate fan gifts. You are going to need room for your Idol's next CD or the next newest Idol's CD. Bet you they will still be in their original wrapping too.

Only in Japan. LOL.

With what CD's cost over there...That's one heck of an expensive date.

CDs in Japan are ridiculously expensive and overpriced along with other things.

But the offering dates if someone buy the 100 copies of new album, this is like bankrupting a customer bank account by doing this. Good luck to any idol otaku that can manage to do this and not blow off all their bank account.

That would make a good PSA about the idol industry.

At risk of outing myself, I would probably do something like that if it was a chance to hang out with Miss A's Suzy.

For what you get, this is not even that expensive...

Let's just say I know some fans who spent way more money doing similar things (flying across the world to attend concerts, etc) and it's way less "unique" than something like this.

But to be fair, this is kind of different than, say, watching the IM@S movie 102 times, because that isn't so much "idol" otaku as much as just the normal variety of otaku.

Cool. How many copies would I need to buy to have sex with the members of the group?

Buy 100 CDs, date the girls, sell the copies. Problem solved.
