The greeting cards are beautifully fantastic, the Hello Kitty/KFC commercial looks cute, and Yoshida-kun looks straightforward and sophisticated as ever.

Happy New Year everyone! Very Happy

Gundam 30th Anniversary?

L-Gaim, Giant Gorg, Galient and Choriki Robo Gallatt are NOT Gundam shows

Gundam's 30th Anniversary was 4 years ago

As far as I can tell, something along the lines of "Happy New Year! The Sailor Moon 20th Anniversary Project is gradually going along, so please support us in 2014 too." Someone who knows Japanese worth a damn can probably tell you more accurately.

Here's one for Detective Conan (Case Closed). This was published on New Year's Day in the Yomiuri Shimbun newspaper (based on the translation I got). The site takes you to the official Japanese Facebook page for the series:

https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=715582621794850&set=a.690862980933481.1073741828.678467478839698&type=1

It's also worth that this greeting coincides well with the upcoming 20th anniversary of the manga series (thus explaining the writing below).

I always like looking at both the Christmas and New Year cards. They give me inspiration to approve myself in drawing. One day I would love to illustrate holiday cards like the ones presented on this website every year.

Nice article you shared there enurtsol. It's interesting that the Russian have taken the Chinese New Year and made it there own. It makes me wonder if China had influence Russia in some way. I also love the New Years card. It has warm, tender atmosphere to it. Plus Catherine the Great looks beautiful. I never heard of her though. She must be special to carry a title "The Great".
