The show looks like it has good potential and has a good staff in place, but don't nearly all of the characters, overall, look exactly the same (and I don't mean that in the stereotypical anime sense)? Going further, their likenesses look like they are further grouped among their sizes (tall, medium, small). Their hairstyles, eyes, and sometimes expressions look interchangeable among them, whether in the concept art or in the trailer…

The only thing that looks interchangeable is mouth shape used for the majority of the characters' smiles, but even then, some of them have wider or smaller mouths. There is even a decent amount of variation in face shapes among the characters. Their bodies however, are pretty much identical, save for lady lumps. It's a little bit on the bland side in terms of variation, but save for exceptions like Takeshi Koikes stuff, properties with a style that straddles the line between realistic and cartoon generally are. It's not varied as Gurren Lagaan, but it isn't as homogeneous as sailor moon.
