Not bad. Production IG and I also like that premise so this should be something interesting to look forward to.

Seems like the year of doing films speaking of a idyllic time. I enjoyed Mai Mai Miracle which was a really beautiful film despite it's short comings. This film looks promising as well. But I wonder when they say the production is hand-drawn, why do I have the suspicion of CG assist in certain scenes. How much is hand and the other CG assist?

But looking forward to this film provided someone takes notice. Now I just hope that this film will be truthful in nature as we've already seen with other films effected by criticism.

The hand-drawn line here is such a misnomer. What's it even mean? Certainly not that they're hand-inking and photographing cel layers.

As long as this isn't yet another "feel sorry for us war victims" type movie it has potential.

Why do I feel like I saw the whole movie by watching the trailer? Laughing

The character designs are unique. At first, the two boys reminded me of Grave of the Fireflies, but as the trailer went on everyone had a unique look.

A rare anime these days that tries to tackle heavier themes.

Is this gonna be one of those "Japan never did anything wrong during WWII" kind o fmovies?

Anyways, I'm definitely looking forward to this. Looks excellent.

Hand-drawn can also mean frame by frame animation, drawing characters painstakingly per frame. They do this on tablets.
