Really excited about this.
Maybe S2 will air next year then, and we'll get KnK in Autumn?

Don't really care about the film, though I am slightly looking forward to the second season.

I think this is the first time I've been excited about a compilation movie. Of course, I'm really just excited for the new scenes.

Still confused about what they're going to do for a second season, though.

Not that they even adapted all that much from the first novel to begin with. I imagine they'll take pieces from the second novel but it'll be mostly original content again (with Dekomori, Kumin, and maybe Touka who are anime-original characters).

It seems like they are going to diverge from the novels even more heavily (and seeing as how season 1 was pretty damn different from the novel...)

Anyway, what we know is that its not going to turn into a harem and Sanae and Shinka's relationship will ~deepen~

I am honestly looking forward to both this film and Season 2. Ah, always so fun.

I just meant, having not read the source, I don't see where it could go from here. In fact, I thought they HAD adapted everything, since the end of the anime seemed like a pretty conclusive ending.

I really don't think they'll adapt the volume, and instead make it 100% original this time

Relating to the second season:
-While it won't be emphasized as much as it was in the Lite episodes, comedy is a big part of season 2. However, they're still thinking about what the core of S2 will be.
-They plan to depict "How do you fall in love with a chuunibyou girl" in S2.
-Originally, S2 was to start around New Year's Day, but now it'll start around March.
-Compared to S1, S2 will have a more comfortable progression of time (umx note: ie, no random month timeskips).
-There may be replacement of characters and setting changes.
-Kuzuha and Yumeha may not appear at all. Touka's also really difficult to fit in.
-There's no plan to touch on the relationship between Rikka and her family. While things still aren't well with her grandfather, they don't plan to pursue that route.
-Kumin's family accidentally appeared.
-They want to introduce new character(s) without it getting muddled or turning into a love triangle. It's supposed to be a laid-back chuunibyou comedy.
-Right now, they think it's fine for ZAQ and the circle to sing the OP/ED respectively.

The original novel sounds like it was pretty bland then, tbh xD

I knew Dekomori was an anime original character, but I'm surprised Touka was. I guess I'm not surprised Kumin was, though I didn't know like I did with Dekomori. I didn't realize the stuff was changed SO much.

As for Touka not being in season 2, that's a bit of a disappointment, she was an entertaining character.

While I still feel the first season had a near-perfect ending, I AM curious to see where they'll go from here, and it will be nice to see these characters again.

To be honest, I hope this movie retcons the ending. I absolutely loved the series, but I really disliked the final episode.

It doesn't say anything about Touka not being in S2.

EDIT:
I saw it wasn't posted yet, so here's Ultimatemegax's translation of Mainichi's article about the movie.

There are instances where it's allowed not to follow the original.

I'd misread this part:
-Kuzuha and Yumeha may not appear at all. Touka's also really difficult to fit in.
But that does imply she may not be in it as much, at least.

How so? Since I can't read Japanese, I'm kinda interested in how the differ.
