Yay! I loved this OVA!

I mean, I already have this OVA on DVD, but still, it's nice that it's getting another run for new fans and...know what? Let's just count this as a win in general, all right?

Now I know this one had a nice remastered DVD, so I hope it's that transfer. Seems like MJ is trying to compete with Discotek for the oldies market.

And the Riding Bean BD. They should be packaged together.

Ah memories. I loved this anime when I first picked it up. Kunihiko goodness. Nice to see this re-released again.

I've still got my used-copy-from-Blockbuster-with-the-generic-package version sitting around from when I bought it a decade ago.

It's a Slayers rip-off, but it's a good one and I like it.

Doesn't look like there'd be any reason to replace my ADV release, though. That was already a re-release.

Unless it's ripping off the Slayers novels, there's nowhere near enough time for the first Slayers TV series to gain a massive audience to allow a high budget OVA to be produced and released in under three months. Besides, it's not like Slayers is the first fantasy romp with female protagonists, you have stuff like Gude Crest from 1990, Ellcia from 1992, and bunch of other examples I've forgotten. Hell, one of my favorites from 1985, Leda, can be as big of an inspiration as anything else.

Dude, I have this on VHS I think. XDDD Can't remember it was VHS or DVD, but it very well might have been VHS.
