Here's hoping it measures up to the standard set by Inferno Cop.

Since this one will include actual animation, I doubt we need to worry.

Well that key image looks promising. Looking forward to whatever Imashi came up with. His stuff is always entertaining.

This is the news I've been waiting to hear. Here's hoping Trigger can surpass Gaianax.

I severely doubt it.

Gainax did many in house projects that are still considered classics by old school fans. Their work ethic wasn't always consistent but the creative force that went behind it was amazing. From their short film for Daicon, to cult classics like Gunbuster and FLCL, all to way to the commercial juggernaut Neon Genesis Evangelion.
In short, Trigger has some pretty big shoes to fill in.

Incredibly hyped!! I just adore Imaishi and Trigger- they're weird and scrappy and opportunistic and full of creativity- and I cannot wait to see their first big TV outing! I'm so happy!!!

They've set a tough act for themselves with Inferno Cop. Interested to see if they can continue to live up to it.

I can't help but think if the Inferno Cop praising is just people being sarcastic.
And this new series sounds good.. disappointed that Okada isn't working on it though. Her original stuff is gold.

How could anyone not sincerely love objects being dragged around the screen in flash and everyone voiced by the same guy, made for $100 an episode? Best animation since AKIRA.
