You could get a prostitute for less (depending on how long) and get more than just a nap.
Anyway, who (besides me) sleeps 10 hours? |

Lest people start going on about "Oh Japan!"...
There are actually people who do this for a living in North America. They do make money. http://www.businessinsider.com/this-woman-is-charging-1-a-minute-to-cuddle-2012-7 Personally, I think the Tokyo shop's cost-per-routines bit is better. 3 minutes of patting a girl on the head? Probably the oddest thing on the menu. Whoever came up with the idea is a genius.

So where's the add-on option where the girl calls the customer "Onii-chan"?

This is weird; a very Japanese kind of weird. It also seems deeply sad, but it became hilarious as I read the list of services that guests can buy ,"to increase the pleasure of their stay." I certainly understand why the man in the video was wearing what appeared to be a cheap, Chinese knockoff of a Luchador mask.
Lying next to each other for hours on end, giving tokens of affection only at a cost? It's almost like they've created a failed marriage simulator. How strict are they about this. Do they charge after the fact for an errant pat on the head? If you stare intently into her eyes for a minute and ten seconds, are you charged extra on a pro rata basis? Does she have to change her whole outfit? Could, for example, have her change just her socks for ¥200? Furthermore, the video clearly shows her slapping him, but the article omits the price for that. I can't imagine that they're giving such a valuable service away for free. Will she hit harder if I pay extra? Curious how there's no listing for paying to have the girl pat the customer on the head in praise. |

For some reason I'm reminded of "Nelly Bleuth" from Arrested Developement...
For half-off the base price, you and the girl can sleep in two seperate beds with a curtain between them! |

Anybody who actually uses this "service" needs to be registered as a sex offender.

I'd say it's quite the contrary, seeing how they have very little to no sex drive and are completely pathetic and desperate enough to use such a service. Probably don't need to worry about them ever being a sex offender. Well, by Japanese standards anyway. Now the guys who are paying for compensated dating? That's a completely different story considering it's entirely unsupervised and the safety of the girl is not guaranteed. |

You have no idea of the numerous amount of fetishes out there within law-abiding citizens. |

This is pretty creepy at first blush, but I guess it's technically harmless. More sad than creepy, really. Like Megiddo said, compensated dating is a much bigger concern.
"Customer can pat girl's head in praise". Whuh? Praise for what? Last edited by RapidEyeMovement on Sat Sep 29, 2012 7:07 pm; edited 1 time in total |
