Cant wait for the first FULL trailer to this! Been looking forward to this movie for the last few years, although I'll probably be waiting a couple more before Im finally able to watch it (waiting on Blu ray Dub release from Funi).

Well its pleasant, but its just footage of a piano.

For that matter, the other promo they projected against a wall (which wasn't clear as a result) was just images of Asuka in Eva-02, out of context.

I await the full trailer.

I nominate this as the most inexplicable trailer of all time. I expect that psychedelic CG piano (never thought I'd type that) to be of capital importance in the actual movie, otherwise I'll get the impression that they were just screwing with us.

Also, that kid's too young to watch Evangelion. Where are his parents?

you can blind yourself into thinking the anime Japanese kids watch is any less graphic than Evangelion if you want, but I know you're wrong...

"Graphic" nothing. Evangelion has much more in the way of psychological brutality and adult themes than anything that little kids in Japan watch (or should watch); in fact, the original TV show got into trouble with the TV execs because it was inappropriate for its time slot. Evangelion is definitely not a show for anyone under thirteen, Japanese or American, and that kid looks like he's eight. It'd scar him for life.

Anyway, we're getting distracted from the real issue here: psychedelic CG pianos.

That kid probably already watched End of Evangelion. Right before 1.0 came out in theaters.

But anyways... It's just footage of a piano? Must be Nerv's most powerful weapon against the angels...

Maybe or maybe not. Remember in the TV series spoiler[during Asuka's fight against the 15th Angel. It used the chorus line from Handel's Messiah to invade her mind.] Music seems to play a part with the Evangelion series.

I will like to guess that the piano (if it's important to the story at all) might be used by spoiler[the 17th Angel aka Kawrou] for some sort of spoiler[global mind control.] But who knows...

Seeing a little kid getting excited over Evangelion is a bit offputting to me.

"Hey, I just watched End of Evangelion, wherein the first few minutes the main character masturbates over a comatose girl. Girls have cooties!"

Also, now I get where people are coming from when they say Anno is a troll. This trailer tells you NOTHING about the next movie. Unless it's two hours of piano playing, we can take away nothing from this promo.

And don't forget that in Evangelion: Death, Shinji, Rei, Asuka and Kaworu were playing Pachelbel's Canon together. That was the first thing I thought of when I saw the piano, and I'm really curious to see how it will fit into the story.

Its funny, I'm lightly bobbing m head to the piano now, yet I know when I watch the movie I'm going to be trying to force myself not to vomit when it plays again.

as far as the kid being in the trailer goes, either someone promised him ALOT of candy or money, its one o the makers kids, or that is one mentally stabe/f***ed up kid.

Great music, but the suspense that the end of 2.0 left me with is not assuaged at all! What happens next, Studio Khara!?

Who knows, apart from the producers who won't say anyway, if that kid actually saw the movie or is just reciting his script that says he did. My money's on the latter. Wink
