I saw this while watching the Live Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Exhibit Press Conference, and OMFG I had a nerdgasm. I will [expletive] love this fall's line-up!!!

This just had to get announced once i started to buy the OVAs eh? Got Volume 4 recently and will be getting the rest hopefully next month so if it's good then i might check out this new series.

If they truly do start from Part 1, if that tiny little animation there is to be trusted, it'll be interesting to see if they compact things or try to go the Full Shonen Jump or something - with Bleach over and only maybe a few more years coming out of Naruto, it'll be funny if they're setting up Jojo to be the next successor. :B

I would be excited if they animated the entire series starting with Phantom Blood. I think the series never caught on in the US because they started with Stardust Crusaders and didn't really do much with the other arcs. At least it appears the video game covers characters from Phantom Blood to Steel Ball Run.
