It looks like Tofu Trianglepants dressed up as Santa. The contents of the bag look spherical, so a bag of DVDs/BDs seems out of the question. Maybe it's a bag of Gantz spheres?

I like Funimation, but that picture's just awful.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, the Christmas tree cosplay girl is a creative change of pace from the usual Santa cosplay that gets used this time of year. I know the Tsubasa character from the Ranma 1/2 series did Christmas tree cosplay before, but it's still unusual to see it.
