Advocating use of non-essential antibiotics? Are you kidding me?
Wow.
You just lost a lot of my respect.

The point of the bunch of crap he took in is that it's, indeed, NOT safe. I think Robin knows very well that antibiotics should be used only when needed, when your doctor prescribes it (not when you have a flu/cold without bacteria involvement)
I'm curious how this will end... .

Who's advocating? Writers and artists do not necessarily advocate everything their characters do, and in this case Kevin is likely being set up for mild disaster.

And thus, we discover the origins of Pax Pox.
I keep tellin' people- Cold-Eeze, folks. Cold-Eeze. Start poppin' the zinc drops with every meal as soon as you get the sniffles. Go up to 5-6 if you symptoms get worse... except they probably won't. Mine never do, I just stop with the drops after a week or so. It stops colds if you start 'em fast enough, it kills them faster if you don't, and you can take them with you regular cold medicine*. No one ever believes me... then they get sick. You'd think they realize I never do. The only people who take me seriously usually answer "I take Airborne instead".
(*as with all medications, please read all labels and warnings and use caution when combining medicines. Which Kevin is about to learn the hard way...)

But where did he get those in the first place? The internet? Oh wait, that makes perfect sense... Yep, one disaster coming right up!

Yeah, antibiotic-resistant bacteria is nothing to sneeze at. (Sorry, I couldn't resist). Antibiotic abuse is definitely an issue, but as this is a comic strip... yeah, i'm not gonna loose my stuff over it.
Just rememer: Antibiotics are ONLY for bacterial infections. They have NO EFFECT on viral infections, which can only run their coarse. Also, antibiotics aren't selective to just the "bad" bacteria. They'll go after the good & beneficial ones in your GI tract as well (which is bad).
What's worse than that, especially in the gamer/anime/manga populations, are the abuse of energy drinks, often which I see people drink like water (if only they drunk that much water, their kidneys would thank them, among a whole host of other bodily fluids, organs and functions).
As these drinks often have 7 to 10 times the caffeine as a single cup of coffee, other stimulants, plus vitamins and minerals, it's VERY easy for people who down several of these drinks to do themselves serious damage acutely and chronically to their organs and systems. Over ingestion can also lead to toxicity and poisoning.
I'm also surprised no one's mentioned the biggest way to combat con sickness: WASH YOUR HANDS OFTEN (or use hand sanitizer) and NEVER TOUCH YOUR FACE, MOUTH, OR NOSE with unclean hands. Unless someone is hacking up death right next to you, the greatest route towards infection is via bringing your infected hands towards your face or your food when you eat. At a con this is a huge nightmare with public doors and things held communally like game controllers and the like.
People think I'm strange because I go to PAX with boxes of disposable, nitrile exam gloves, but I use them (I also wash my hands), and I don't get sick.
(Author's Note: I have nitrile exam gloves because I'm going to Dental School, not because I'm some nutball serial killer.)
Also, drinking plenty of water, eating well, and getting enough sleep will insure you don't get some Con super bug that takes for ever to get rid of, or laughs in the face of most antibiotics (Like MRSA, but that's pretty rare outside of hospitals or hospital workers).
