1) Are we going to get a poll like this?

2) Great to see the noitaminA programs making the top ten this time around (they didn't for winter), since the time slot has been struggling over the last year. Let's hope neither disappoint (though my expectations are admittedly low for AnoHana, which looks potentially rather drippy).

Meh. ANN's survey will most likely reflect my opinion better, so I won't be putting any faith in this thing because it's clear they're all after fictional little girls. Not that it's bad.

Actually, where is ANN's survey? Not having one this season?

Definitely not surprising to see Aria and Denpa Onna near the top, but I'm surprised Ao no Exorcist isn't up there.

It's up there at number seven under "Blue Exorcist" (frankly, since it has such an easy-to-translate name, I'm surprised more people aren't using it). And seconding (thirding?) the motion that we get a poll too, it was pretty interesting to compare results last time.

And where are the cute girls in them?
How moe are the characters in Deadman Wonderland?
This is a survey from Dengeki Online!!

Gintama is not popular with moe otaku (DOL's readers), It's popular with fujoshi.

I guess the last Winter and Fall season have spoiled me, because I am already disappointed with the Spring offerings here. Just going through the calendar on anidb was depressing. It's stocked with Erotic Game adaptations, harem shows, and moeblob. I don't take too much stock in these kind of surveys (particularly not from Dengeki), but it could have been worse. A number of the more, shall we say, 'derivative' series didn't make the list or were low in the standings, which gives me a little hope for the future.

My two favorites didn't make the list:

Hyouge Mono -- Sengokujidai Tea Ceremonies? Hell yes!
Moshidora -- Baseball Management? Hell yes!

/I would like to formally fourth the request for an ANN spring poll

I'm really surprised Steins;Gate is not up there especially since I heard preorders on Amazon are already in the Top 20.

There's two, same as Autumn, quit complaining about a non issue. It's a big season as well, 50 shows compared to 21 for winter, pleanty of other stuff to watch

Moeblob I'll agree on, was 23 obvious moe pandering shows at my last count, just under half the season.

well one character in deadman could be classified as moe but she is pretty much insane but point taken.

I only count about forty. A number of the ones listed on ANN's "upcoming TV series" are actually 2-3 minute shorts, not real series.

And I'm going to stick my neck out for the ax, but yeah, not all of these are based off ero games, but a lot of them are based on the moe-heavy formula, and that is an otaku thing (in the Japanese sense), which is the primary audience of Dengeki. When polls run at ANN, the results almost flip, since "our" tastes (i.e., as a general whole, not individuals) are very different. C is my most-anticipated series, followed by Blue Exorcist and Deadman Wonderland, and... well, I'm hoping for a few surprises. I usually get one every season (it was Gosick in winter).

Oh yeah, C! The most recent PV reminded me of Persona 4 with the whole card-summoning in a different world thing.

Kaiji season 2 will be the best anime this spring. "IT'S THE ANTI-MOE ANIME." Cool

So 1,2,5, and 6 of this list don't interest me at all. Sad to see that moe shows are still getting the strong fanbase that they do. But on the bright side titles 3,4,7,8, 9, and 10 interest me allot. So although there seems to still be a high demand for complete crap out there, it's nice to know that a few interesting titles are still getting attention from Japanese otaku.

Oh yea, by "up there" I meant as in the top 3-ish. My bad for being vague with the term lol
