I'm happy Hetalia is licensed, but...I hope TP's releases will be better by then. I personally was rooting for Yen so I could have color pages, nice paper, and a translation without grammatical errors.
I'll definitely buy it, though.
Edit:
Just wanted to mention that the news article leads to the anime page instead of the manga's.

Tokyopop has been hinting at a Hetalia license for several months on Twitter. The usual tweet hint was along the lines of "someone really should license this".
Edit: Posted prior to reading the article where the Twitter hints were already mentioned.

Ew, Tokyopop. I'm already disgusted at the thought of seeing Hetalia's cover tainted with that hideously obnoxious Tokyopop logo, or the spine clashing with the ugly red Robofish that they insist on slapping on every volume they put out.

I'll be buying it. Too bad it's TokyoPop, but I'll still buy it. My poor manga collection already has an unfortunate amount of red TokyoPop Dots, what's one more series?

I'm happy it's licensed, I just wish it wasn't Tokyopop that licensed it. Over the past few years I've just become disappointed with them and as a result, I haven't really been buying much of the anything they've licensed other than the last .hack light novel.

YES. As much as I've been dissapointed with Tokyopop lately (Where's my CROQUIS replacement??), I'm gonna give them the benefit of the doubt on this one. They'd be really stupid to screw this up.

I'm very very excited for this~
Ever since that cheap paper incident, and the fact Tokyopop tends to omit a lot of color pages, I've been sort of....meh feeling about them, but I'll give it a chance, because it's Hetalia, after all.
I'm mostly hoping for a well done translation of the "America's Storage Cleaning" story~

Seconded (especially the BSG referencing part). I've wanted to read this series for ages because it sounds so cracktastic and awesome.
