No Viz is doing speed releases of it like they did with Naruto

but this is going to be like 5 volumes a month (as they have like 25 volumes + to catch up to the Japanese)

Nope, from January-June Viz/SJ is going to release 30 volumes of OP (23 is going to be out on December, then 24-53 will come out between the next 6 month)

Anyway, nice to see some mangas that I'm reading/use to read doing so well (the use to do read ones I'm still waiting to get, and that include Yotsuba, R+V, and some others)

WHAT?! NO VAMPIRE KNIGHT?! Heh, if that was on there then there would be 4 vampire series that made it... Actually I do like Vampire Knight, though. I just like knocking on all these vampire franchises >_>

I am shocked

This is by far One Piece's best showing, maybe the simulcast is actually gaining it some fans.

Well, VK 7 came out in August. It's about time it dropped off the list.

I'm amazed at One Piece though. It looks like it's finally gaining steam here. This is amazing news considering that 25 volumes will be released in five months alone next year.

Well, when you think about it; One Piece in the US has always been a slow series to get into even for otakus. Most One Piece fans I know have always been like "oh yeah, it gets really good once they get to the Arlong fight or Desert Island part etc etc" and I say the same thing. The 4kids dubs didn't help with anything but the series has had to sink in for alot of people so it just might take longer for non-otakus to see past the stretching and pirate themes to enjoy the series.

But very cool, I heard a bit about the increased releases but thought it was still "rumor" level last I heard. Very nice. I might start collecting now I know I don't have to wait for 30+ volumes very the next 10 years or whatever. But dang, a 5 volume a month average? Crazy. Can't help but think there are going to be alot of errors or empty word bubbles in those. Or wrongly placed word bubbles.

I thought the mangaka of OP said it was going to take at least as long as it took to get up to this point in the manga to get to the end of the Grand line?

It's now actually at 55 volumes in The Land Of The Rising Sun.

It ain't slowing down anytime soon and it still sells 1.5+ million copies so Shueisha is not gonna cancel it and the Tv show still gets about 9% viewing a week (or was it 11% I can't remember)
