Still no news about English being on the Switch version. Boo. Oh well. I'm still gonna buy it as a birthday present to myself.

Yeah I'm hoping an English patch becomes available eventually that will work with the physical cart. |

I'm still on the fence, the more I look at the CGI the more I get repulsed. Everything just looks sterile and lacks warmth. Aquaplus youtube channel has a video showcasing both the original and the remake. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4dBAWcYGBIg

Perhaps it's just me, but after watching that video, I very much prefer the artwork of the original to it's CGified replacement... ![]() |

You guys do realize the original game doesn't actually look like the Opening Animation, right...? Honestly, I don't know why they used the OP as a point of comparison anyway, since it naturally makes the CGI look less appealing than it actually is.
![]() Anyway, the CGI is fine. I think it's looking quite pleasant, and I'm excited to see To Heart explored with the nice luxury of cinematography and active character movement. ![]() I'm extremely grateful that To Heart is finally coming out in English at all. The title is legendary and iconic. Due to the nature of time, this will never be for English speaking fans what it was for Japanese fans in its time period, but I'm glad this wonderful new version of it will be made available, so English fans can finally get a small taste of what the otaku of old experienced back in the day. 00's anime and otaku media wouldn't have been what it was without it. |

I think people know, plenty of comparisons of the game itself have been passed around so plenty of people know how much better the original game looks lol |

Yes, this is one of my early VNs played back in 2000s My point still stands, the CGI lacks depth and actually detracts from the series overall. I do agree an english release is a neat thing to happen, but lets also be honest that English speaking fans have already played it by now. |

How? ToHeart has never had an English translation in any capacity, not even fan translations. It says so right there in the article that this is the first time ToHeart has gotten any kind of English translation at all. The anime got licensed and dubbed, sure, but that doesn't provide the whole experience. How exactly would English speaking fans have managed to play this if there was no existing English translation, fanmade or official? |

I'd say that's quite unlikely, since Shiravune is publishing it and they only do PC releases. It's possible another publisher might license the Switch version and use their translation (NISA did this with Monochrome Mobius on PS4, for example, but not for almost a year after the initial release), but right now I would assume the Switch version is Japanese-only. |

Possibility of new anime adaptation too?
Maybe Kanon and Air will get modern remakes as well... |

I know Shiravune's translation of the One: Kagayaku Kisetsu e remake got ported to the Switch, though that might be an exception rather than the norm. |
