Nice! This was a random manga I found fan translated and it was surprisingly good. A bit dark and twisted, but I rather enjoy it. I'll definitely be picking it up when it's released.

The manga is a very good adaption on the novel - it makes some bold changes, and the tone ends up being very different, but that actually worked very well.
I definitely recommend the original novel as well, obviously (I translated it) - it won Otsu Ichi a major award, and propelled him to mainstream success.

YES!!!! I've been waiting YEARS! The art in this manga is simply gorgeous, and I can't wait to finally be able to buy an English edition. And there's to be a live action adaption? Even more fun.

Goth is a great story, I`ve never read the novel but I want to, the manga was so great. A live action would be perfect in Japan, as part of Asian extreme cinema. I`m not so enthusiastic about a live action in USA, American studios are too conservative for a disturbing story like Goth and the characters would be played by actors in their 20s and even in their 30s.

You'd actually be surprised with what America is starting to accept. Look at how popular murder investigation shows are, then at the Dexter popularity in particular which has many of the same themes as Goth. And since this is a movie, they don't have to worry about censors in the same way. Gore isn't something Holly Wood is afraid of, nor disturbing story lines involving it ala Silence of the Lambs.
