As the translator for the Do You Love Your Mom novels, there is no incest. The whole joke is that all the fanservice cliches happen to his mom, which ruins them. The lack of attraction is the point of the gag.

I'm honestly surprised there was absolutely no mention of Kiss x Sis in this.

It may be not so uncommon in anime, but there's a lot more to find in manga(provided you cast a wider net than just official releases, they tend not to get licensed unfortunately...).

There may be no incest on behalf of the in-universe character, but to say that incest is not a pull for the audience reading the novels/manga or watching the show misses the mark.

Incest is indeed Wincest.

Also I appreciate the good words about Days with my Stepsister. Easily the most underrated show of 2024, it's fantastic. The amount of people who trashed it saying stuff like "nothing happens" was seriously depressing.

Koi Kaze is a pretty good story.
Not for everyone, but it is a good story.

I shall not stand for slander of A Sister's All You Need! That show was hilarious in its outrageousness.

The craziest thing about Oshi no Ko that the author revealed after the series ended is that spoiler[they wanted the relationship between Aqua and Ruby to evolve into an official incest, completely destroying Kana's state but decided to ditch that move and leave it aside]

Days with My Stepsister was in my personal top 3 for Anime of the year just behind Mushoku Tensei and Frieren. It had a great narration and a new way to approach a story like this covering both sides of the medal not just the perspective of one character. The show felt more like a diary of both characters. It had some psychological depth. It was melancholic and the minimalistic OST (which I want to be released on disc so badly) was the perfect fit to catch the melancholicness of the show.

Yup. There's a reason that Eromanga Sensei is the highest rated series of all time after all.

The authors were interviewed in Spain. Heavy spoilers

. As I understand it, Mengo (artist) wanted to take the twincest relationship further, but Aka (writer) didn’t. In the end, it’s Aka’s story as he’s the writer and he has the final word. So they moved on with his ideas
