I already had a feeling that they will have Minami Takayama reprise her role, but it is nice to have it confirmed.

Wow! Even as a massive Conan fan, I have somehow never seen or read Yaiba, but with a stacked Wit Studio team behind this remake, this one is can't miss for me!

I like the use of smear frames, you don't see that much in Anime. Is it just me, or does any else think the art is very Toei Animation?

Kind of surprised they recast Onimaru. He’s been in Conan voiced by Kenjiro Tsuda recently. Even in the movie this year.

I used to be part of the team who fan-scanlated this manga many many moons ago. I'm really happy to see a new anime of Yaiba being released!

I'm curious to know which anime you watch, because smear frames are very much still a frequent thing in most shows.

In that case, they must just be more pronounced here than most other Anime.

The trailer looked great. Just wish it didn't look shiny. Wish these studios would try to capture the original essence (visual) of the era the work originally released in. Trying to make every old thing look shiny isn't appealing. I've got this issue with Conan as well. I think it might be just Aoyama's designs.

Holy crap! I'm loving seeing the original seiyuu return to voice their characters in remakes, especially lately. It sucks when a remake anime gets made and the original seiyuu don't return even though they are still active. I do wonder what the behind the scenes process was like considering Takayama isn't married to Aoyama and hasn't been for 17 years. Did he suggest and/or approve it? Etc.
Looking at Sayaka, I can see why Koto-chan didn't return. Hosoyan is a good replacement, but I think Horikawa is just stuck voicing Vegeta.
