I remember season 1 was huge in my circles, but then no one talked about season 2.

Season 1 was fantastic. Season 2 was rather disappointing, especially with the motorcycle theft plot. I think I only finished episode 4 and then I stopped watching because it wasn’t interesting anymore. Hopefully more live action content focused on Japan will get made.

Well, I hear that the author-related stories are getting a bad rap. It would be good to pull the curtain back here.

It ends pretty much where the book does, so it does have a satisfying conclusion, at least. Worth reading the sequel books that have recently come out if the overall topic is of interest.
