The author of the novelization, Takaaki Suzuki, said on Twitter that the manuscript is complete, and he's just waiting for updates like everyone else.

It isn't quite clear from the article, but I'm guessing this isn't so much taking books off the shelves as it is that those books were supposed to be available and weren't.
