Hey guys , good job.
This was seriously much much better.
Ellie still talks a bit too fast or rather she seems to have trouble with her respiration. I suggest to respiration exercises. we do a lot of respiration exercises in theater to control the stress but mainly our rhythm for elocutions , it helps a lot.
Other then that it was really good.
keep up the good work. Cool

Agreed. This was good.

When the commercial for Ragnarok started, I seriously thought it was a parody. Is that a bad thing? Rolling Eyes

Overall very good, and getting better each week. A few comments:

- The presenters could still do with slowing down their speech a little, Ellie in particular.
- Perhaps give them each a microphone to hold so that they have something to do with their hands when talking to the camera.
- The area to the side of the presenter when they were shot individually could maybe be used for a picture related to the story they are talking about. This episode did make much greater use of video and pictures to illustrate the news though, which is a good thing.

Oh, and it was an unfortunate choice to open that interview preview with a close-up of the guy's groin. Wink

I don't like how the guy's tone of voice during the Hunter X Hunter item is so incredulous, like HxH being on hiatus is the most puzzling thing ever, totally unexpected and out of the blue.
It's true that it had been clear from the start that HxH would only return for a limited amount of time. People have known this since October. Research! Don't present it in a way tha suggests Shueisha are just making things up; don't feed in this paranoia that something mysterious and bad is going on with Togashi. Enough people are contributing baseless rumours and conspiracy theories, it would actually be pretty neat to have a more elaborate, actually nsightful treatment of this issue, instead of a clueless, puzzled outsider's glance at it.
For all we know, Togashi's eccentricm, paired with the fact that HxH is popular enough to allow Togashi to do what he wants (and he does not want to be constricted by deadines), is the only real reason for the hiatus. Stop suggesting there might be more, there is already enough paranoia.

This series is off to a nice start. Is it available as a podcast on iTunes yet?

The more stable Background ist much better, also the new color is a better choice than the dark one from the first installment (though not a perfect choice, imo, but that's only my taste).

And, sorry, but... HxH on hiatus again really is ridiculous. Even though it may have been announced in October, it is weird to see that series being on and off again.

Also, I still had no problems understanding both hosts whatsoever. *shrug*

Greetings from Germany (again),

MagDragon.

I love these news spots. I also really enjoy the news castors who seem really enthusiastic. The ads at the end are great too and give me some great ideas on what anime to look into adding to my collection next Smile

I love the show and eagerly look forward to the next installment Smile

Much better this time around! A lot of the complaints I had read in the last forum have been fixed and it seems like more a video newcast rather than just a reading on the news.

I don't know if I'm the only one, but cutting to music and the twirling logos after EVERY news piece is annoying to me. While a break between news with something different can break the monotony, using the same music and picture after every piece is also monotonous. I would prefer the monotony broken up by the news caster sharing the screen for one or two segments and then going back to single screen, or only breaking up the pieces with music after every two or so.

I know if I keep watching this show that same music is really going to start bothering me.

Is there enough money in the budget to give those poor folks some chairs? They look horribly uncomfortable standing there.

An anime bootleg that isn't illegal?! I was tricked!! Anime hyper

Anyway, it's nice to see the improvements. I'm looking forward to more interviews like the Arias one coming up, as well as anything else that might be in store for us next year. Can't wait for '08!

I enjoyed the ANN webisode. This is my first time seeing an ANN vid and I have some questions.

1. Does Ellie and Mario even watch anime or do they read whatever ANN writes.

2. Are they mods?

3. Why don't the editors show themselves? It's not like any of us have a Deathnote or anything.

They do watch anime. Mario is a hardcore otaku, while Ellie is more of a newbie. However, for right now, everything is pre-written. We'll get to more ad-libbed stuff eventually.

Nope. I would never force my crew to read forums. People can get nasty (though nobody has yet), and that can affect on-camera performance. I won't tell them not to, either, but it will never be part of their jobs. They need to have the freedom to walk away from the jeering mob if something bad happens. Smile

Lots of reasons. First, we shoot in NYC, and most of the ANN editors don't live anywhere near NYC. Second, being a good writer and editor does not make one good on camera. We'll slowly try out various ANN editors when there's an opportunity (see the NYAF coverage to see what Chris, Bamboo and Evan look like).

Some of our crew doesn't want to be on camera (myself included). You must admit, it takes a certain amount of courage to open one's appearance up to the inevitable public ridicule that the internet provides.

Okay, I admit it. The Bootleg bump got me. Laughing

And good job as always. <----that sounds weird since this is only like the 4th or 5th one but I'll say it anyway.
