Time to grab the CR version, before it's updated.

So they're totally erasing Ikeda, huh. Kind of reminds me of Tatsuhisa Suzuki with Draken in Tokyo Revengers.

That's how it is in Japan. You f*ck up, you're deleted from history. Just outright liquidated.

Unless it's pedophilia! Then it's a-ok.

Not really? The standard procedure is basically you fck up -> you get essentially sanctioned and placed in the time-out corner, your music is pulled, you get kicked out of your band, your manga/novel series is axed, your appearances are cancelled, etc., you get recast in shows that haven't aired yet, if you did something really unsavory you'll get replaced in ongoing shows as well, etc. -> then after a certain amount of time has passed and the waves have died down, usually around 6-7 months, you quietly start getting roles again, publishers/labels are going to talk to you again, etc. -> and in a year or so you're fully back and nobody is ever going to talk about the incident ever again (and that's what is called "kurorekishi", "dark history").

I mean, Suzuki Tatsuhisa was brought up before - people were absolutely, totally gutted, said his career was over, etc etc. And now he's pretty much fully back, getting main roles, etc. Is he as huge as previously? Of course not, but give it some more time. He's probably going to be fine. I mean, was it really bad what he did? Sure, but it wasn't a crime, legally speaking.

Ikeda though... he committed a crime, like, he scammed people out of money. That's not just a morally bad thing, it's actually against the law. So if he's going to be back it's likely going to take much longer, and there's a chance he's never going to resurface, at least not under this name or not strictly in the same industry.

There was literal proof he duped people out of their savings, despite all the money he made from the tons of concerts and other gigs he did. May he rot in jail.

In that case I agree with you, it was horrible what he did indeed.
