Makes a lot of sense about him not liking Vikings, I keep feeling like this story is bizarre for its setting. Sure, there could be peaceful Vikings, but of any group of people who have ever existed, Vikings and Mongols are the I refuse to humanize to such an extent. You can have a fun action show, and have them question what they do for their family or something, but to come to a pacifist conclusion and not be immediately killed is far too much to believe.

I wish he had chosen the ancient Rome setting. There's a lot more divisiveness with the actions of Romans from the perspective of other Romans during thar time period, and their society changed drastically in a short period of time. Compared to the Viking way which just slowly trailed off which slowly allowed the English to rise up and replace them at the same time.

Nice. Looks like Thorfinn's own ship is a quite more humble than Askeladd's.

Significantly easier to carry over a mountain, though.
