Yeah so strange that ADV license one of the shows that basically no one is fansubbing......or I guess the asking price was just right.

Hmm...I didn't see much buzz about.
Anyways, I like the retro look. Looks like another dvd is on the rent list. |

Wow. Licensing a show with practically no buzz (although the first episode was decent). Daring move for ADV, though it does come off as the type of show American viewers would like.

I'm not all that interested in it myself...
Maybe they have plans for it... (?) |

Well, they're cyborgs, and it's from Ishinomori, but otherwise I think the two are unrelated.
:add: Here's what I posted when the series was announced. |

People like to describe this anime as the female James Bond, and I for one would have to say that would be an accurate description. I've seen the first episode, thought it was a decent. Pretty cool action scenes. Boobie-guns is always a plus.

Total sweetness!
Only the first two episodes of 009-1 have been subbed so far to my knowledge, and I've seen them both. I love it so far, so I'm very glad to hear that it's been licensed already, |

Why...? I was able to finish the first episode( more like skimmed through it) but in the end it was really tedious and the only little thing i found interesting was that it had a little fanservice on it. The anime seemed like that it was emphasizing on more actions and the rest as in the storyline felt blank. And I'm surprise that ADV is acquiring something that has never been words or any buzz around. |

It's not related, although it was created by the same guy who made Cyborg 009 (Shoutarou Ishi(no)mori). |

Which would be a good enough reason, if any, to get it. Not only does it have fan service (which ADV apparently *loves* in an anime series), it also is part of a master's legacy, in this case, Ishinomori's. Hakugai(sp) was a Dezaki work, and despite its lack of popularity, it does have his name attached to it, so it is bound to elict some interest in a group of fans. |

I like what I see so far but I've only seen 2 episodes fansubbed. I have to admit it's everything you could expect. I was pretty shocked by the **** guns. But then again this was LOOOONG before 'Austin Powers' pulled the same stint. Plus, I do like female espionage/agent flicks.
