It doesn't take much to please Nagai.

Terrible hell boy movie i know nothing about the series other than that 1st film by del toro but devilman is one of my favorite manga/anime series, and that Mike Mignola art work is god artfully bad his art kinda looks like manga a little tho except in the faces & posture.

Seriously, Mr. Nagai could had chose Spawn instead, since it's more similar with Devilman than Hellboy.

The art collaboration is pretty cool. Reminds me of when Mike Mignola and Yu-Gi-Oh’s author traded pictures.

Even if it is a terrible movie, at least it gave us this amazing piece of artwork.

The Spawn reboot is not even out yet. Maybe they will when that movie gets released over there.

the popularity of Devilman Crybaby must have led way to cross promotions like this, before hand Devilman was pretty niche in the west

The new Hellboy movie was actually a lot like the comics. I honestly loved it. I know that some people don't like the change but if you feel that way then you may be a bigger Ron Pearlman fan than a Hellboy fan.

I mean the original films weren't box office smashes but it's telling the new one bombed horribly.

Devilman has always been an iconic classic series in Japan which is why this crossover promotion was done. Devilman is still niche in the west because Crybaby was a fad. It was super popular for a month and left no impact on the fandom like the modern anime adaptions of Jojo and Hunter x Hunter did.
