As a male in my mid 30s I cannot really relate to the hormonal struggles of teenage girls, but I am really liking O Maidens in Your Savage Season. It quickly became my favorite show of this season, and it might become my favorite for the whole year.

Early 30s male here and I also agree, outside of Vinland Saga anyway. There is an honest ness to the characters and writing that is hard to ignore but I can understand their perspective a little bit. For whatever reason the girls at my school started talking about sex before the boys did, likely due to wanting to feel mature. As a consequence the boys started to converse with them on the topic as a result.

I went through a phase of what I call ‘too cool to talk about sex’ as that was all anyone talked about, of course the irony of still engaging with porn at the time was not lost on me. Shame really, probably missed out on a few good times.

The show had me hooked at the end of the first episode, something you left off in Kazusa's wild flight from walking in on her childhood friend. At the end she is standing on a walkway over the train tracks screaming "It will never fit!". Her feet are about a foot and a half apart, we see a local train pass directly underneath her and enter a tunnel framed between her lower legs. It's a old cliche, sure, but Okada-sensei pulled it out at the perfect time and used it brilliantly.
