I see no reason for there to be another box set... I think that the audio, and especially the video is gorgeous enough. And the "bonus" materials... meh - not enough to spring for another set.

Well it seems to be going for a decent price at $124.98 according to AoD. Decent for Geneon anyway...

Maybe it's for people that haven't seen/got it yet? Rolling Eyes

"Re-encoded video"...does that mean "it looks better than the first release," or "we're just re-coding everything to fit on fewer discs"? Rolling Eyes

In all seriousness, I don't have any reason to get this, seeing as I jumped through hoops to get the limited-editioin slipcases in the initial release.

should it still be called a bonus episode if it already came with the originally released dvd?

anyway, instead of leather and velvet, i'd wish they used CLAMP's beautiful illustrations on the box as they did in the Japanese release.

....maybe in a future collector's edition. *hint hint geneon*

Because the original release came on DVD-5's and didn't look too great, and the sound was only 2.0. If they're capable to making a decent 5.1 release, releasing it for a more reasonable price, and whatever else, what should stop them.

Both.

I did the same thing, and I agree.

I will not be buying this, for one, unless it somehow suits my interest, which for now, it does not.

Ill enjoy my DVDs with limited edition slipcases. Now if I could just get an X box to put these in.

Anyone know if they issued one for the slipcase releases?

The first volume came with an LE box which would hold all volumes with slipcases.

That's starting to get tougher to find since it's 4 years dated. Raoh I sent you a PM.

I completely spazzed on that, then. Which is weird, I can usually find the good stuff. Though, it was hard enough making sure to get the slipcase versions, most stores I went to got around four copies of the regular, and one, sometimes two of the slipcase.

I have replied to your PM, Disembodied Voice.

I'd consider it, if they improved the subtitles. They were saying "Kamui" (with quotes) and then they stopped. They also spelled Sakurazuka's name two different ways (Seishiro and Seishirou). Not a big deal, but I'm an editor and I like consistency. There were also some really awkward phrases like "man who acts like a comedian" and "man who looks like a gigolo."
