Transforming it from an R-rated action series into more of a PG-13 action shonen it´s not the brightest decision. I noped out of the series 1 and a half episode into it because all the gore and viscerality of its R-rated first season, alongside with the heavy and serious tone, were removed in exchange of the censorship. Here we have comedic and fanservice-y scenes put in front of you for the sake of it, clashing very hard with the few serious scenes. I don´t even wanna know how this season ended because of that.

Also I doubt the production values were better this time around, given that the last episode had a lot of ugly moments visually

Wut. I dont know who this reviewer is, but I dont think he gets why people liked the first season of terraformars and basically ignored the second. Either way if this is his opinion, I wont tell him he's wrong, but I will say that 90 some percent of terraformars fans would completly disagree with him. Everyone who watched the first terraformars season hated the second from episode 1. With how popular terraformars seems to be getting in Japan hopefully it will get a brotherhood treatment at some point.

I might look presumptious writing this but am I in the minority who found Terraformars to be extremely thrilling with a great cast of characters (OK I'll admit that the MC is a bit bland) and an intriguing story? Granted, I read the manga first but I still found the anime to be quite good plus the OPs are a great to listen to every episode.

That's a rather brazen statement to make there.

I enjoyed both seasons, both had flaws. But the reviewer is spot on as to what the show is and that is big dumb sci-fi fun. It's the JP version of Starship Troopers as far as production value and plot goes. Nothing stands out and nothing about it is amazing or revolutionary.

I need to get around to watching Blood Blockade (both seasons) and Luluco at some point.
