Aaaaaaargh, this is terrible, i've been looking forward to the predicted release of a genshiken 2 in October since the summer. Gutted. I've been telling everyone about it too ><. Just have to find some merchandise from the first series to console myself
 . I was really looking forward to watching genshiken with an anime society rather than alone in my room

I wonder what it says about the anime market in Japan where the heavily cliched and stereotypical parody series-within-a-series gets picked up for additional episodes and not the series that spawned it.

So rather than making a sequel to the show that everyone liked, they decide to make an extension to a fake series that no one paid attention to instead. Way to go guys, you sure know how to keep your fans happy.
God they even went so far as to tease us by showing the back of Oguie at the end of episode 13. |

Oh, that is just bull right there. KujiUn is a JOKE. Jokes do not work if you stretch them out into 12 episode series.
KujiUn works in short bursts as a way to mock harem anime and shows obsessed with tournaments, but if you remove the context of it being a show-within-a-show, then it's just a bad anime. I suppose next they'll announce a sequel to Haruhi Suzumiya, and then decide to make a series based on that movie they shot in the first episode instead. Complete with incredibly fake special effects. |

Seriously I really don't think the world needs another stupid messed up loli comedy. The only thing I even remeber about it was that it was from genshiken. I'd really like to see the reasoning behind making more of this >.> I mean the reaction is going along with the crowd a bit... But I Highly doubt anyone is going to even want to jump in and scream how much they loved KujiUn -_- and I know I have no inclination to do so -_-

damn. i was so happy to. if this was anounced before hearing that there was going to be a secound season of genshiken, then i would think this is cool. i would never choose this over genshiken

Well, this sucks. Everybody was waiting for a second Genshiken season, but instead they come with a new KujiUn series which is just a bad show without Genshiken.

To the contrary, I'm overjoyed at this. The Genshiken manga is continuing, so that story is going on, and now we get what should be a great sendup of anime conventions, since the whole premise is that the anime only exists in anime world.

I couldn't have put it better myself. I'd rather have even one more episode of Madarame, Saki, & Co. than a full dozen episodes of the lame, predictable "lol mushroom r penis" gags that Kujian already promises. |
