Index's third season needs to happen first, but that is taking as long as Half life 3 at this point

Kind of impressive how Angel Beats! manages to keep hanging around in the pop consciousness after all this time. Unless maybe this is tied to news about the VN? We haven't heard a peep about a "2nd Beat", have we?

Three Leaves, Three Colors on Christmas Day... I might as well celebrate the Holidays by re-watching it. It was a fun show. Wink

the anime version was a terrible adaptation, the manga was good though.

It was generally believed that the anime adaptation is good enough as it is and many people considered the anime as a cult classic by now, and it is frequently mentioned as one of the most violent anime of all time. But you can keep your opinion of course.

Aww, I was hoping "Tanaka-kun wa Toyosu demo Kedaru-ge" would be some kind of animated Tanaka-kun is Always Listless New Year's special but it's just a live-event with the voice actors from October. Sales of the anime are only about 1.2K per volume so it's not too likely we'll ever get season 2. :-(

===============

New Year's anime episodes I like watching?

Kamichu! had an interesting one, it doesn't take place on New Year's Day (1984) but slightly after where the entire episode is just spoiler[Yurie relaxing under a kotatsu after using too much of her goddess powers on New Year's itself].

Non Non Biyori has the three Miyauchi sisters and Kaede "Candy Store" Kagayama climbing a mountain, possibly the one owned by the Miyauchi family, to see the first sunrise spoiler[and it's interspersed with flashbacks to the first time Kaede babysat baby Renge some 5 years prior].

Minami-ke season 1 ended with the New Year's Eve episode and almost certainly the most "wrong" scene of any of the 4 seasons: spoiler[High school volleyball club leader Hayami comes to the Minami residence with "special juices" (alcohol disguied in juice bottles), gets high school student Haruka Minami and elementary school student Chiaki Minami drunk, where they act uncharacteristically not like themselves and then pass out, and then a super-drunk Hayami tries to kiss and possibly even molest helpless middle school student Kana Minami, the only one smart enough to not try the juices, in a scene mirroring the scene from the first episode wherein Kana tried to kiss Chiaki.] Also, in a different scene, you get to see Makoto/Mako-chan try on a girlish kimono while talking about his "manly Japanese spirit".

Azumanga Daioh had a funny New Year's dream anthology episode.
