Oh, gods, say it isn't so!
The original series was sooo on drugs and filled with so much homoerotic humor that I'm suprised that it's getting put on a "Kids Station".

Never saw the show, but I've heard the stories. The show that had everyone confused. Hahahahaha!!
Now just think about what the old fans are going to say when they hear this?
Totally unexpected. Man everyone wants to redo a show.

"Narutaru" also aired on Kid's Station.
Of course, I consider the station's name to be Engrish anyway, since not all of their programming is youth oriented.

Cool; can't wait! The original series was the first anime I ever saw; still have 20 some odd episodes floating around on ancient video tapes. ...Come to think of it, it was probably the first manga I owned, too...

Yay! Now I can finally see SOME Pataliro, as I can't seem to find anyone with decent copies of the original series, and the little bits I've seen just make me want more. ^^
Hope it's as good as the original is!

I am completely freaking out here. God, I love Patarillo. Fortunatly, with the Patarillo manga still going strong, the odds of this being a remake seem fairly slim. I mean, they've got all these other stories to work with, right? Right? Look, humor me, okay?
Hopefully some deranged fansub group will be all over this when it airs, then will obsess over the show, then will track down the R2 DVDs, then the whole series (plus the Project Stardust movie) will be fansubbed. And if you think that's a deranged notion, let me tell you my wild fantasies about Patarillo's astoundingly popular US release...
