If there ever was a great time for maintenance and overall down time, it's at 6:00 AM Eastern Standard time. Sometimes (okay, more than sometimes, reading ANN and eating breakfast before a long day at college works hand and hand I think.) I come to ANN at that time of the day, but hey, you have to do what you have to do.
Thanks for the hard work ANN and a special thanks to Dan for working so hard to keep this site as maintained as you do. It's not easy work, but seriously, as a community member, I do appreciate that.

Well, if this helps the site then I support it. Two hours is nothing; if the site breaks down from lack of maintenance it could take over a day to get it back on line. So it's common sense to keep things running smooth.
Just make sure that when you are doing maintenance you don't actually end up breaking something. That would be embarrassing. No, I'm just kidding, I know you won't do that.

So now what am I to do the hour before and the first hour of my work shift? Well two hours is not such a big deal if it is to help the site. I can find other things to do in the mean time.

I'll be at school during that time.
Good thing, though; I had already made a plan to start burning threw my back log when I saw the title "Scheduled Downtime".
