When i was reading Fruits Basket i got confuse when they use the nickname "haa-san". On pager 52.1 Sshigure say "Haa-kun. it's January. You must have attracted a lot of attention." refering Hatsuharu as Haa-kun. well... on the next page, 53.5, i think it was honda-san that said,"...kyo-kun call Haa-san." kyo argues... then talk about Haa-san being stressed because of the influenza. refering Haa-san to Hatori (is that the right spelling?). then hatsuharu says he'll call.
another incedent, on page 111.1, Shigure delivers chocolate to the main house. Hatori claims that handa-san is "very thoughtful" then shigure say "she is very thoughtful. There's some for Momoitchi and Haa-kun too." refering haa kun as hatsuharu. looking at that does -kun and -san differ in the people and when the manga-ka says Momoitchi is that the pronounceation ?
another question is Yun-bocchan Yuki
another thing is that the people possesed with the spirits are born in the year corrisponding, right? because Hatasuharu and Momoiji are the same age.
also when there is characterless panels what is Honda-san, a turtle head?
these may sound like complaints but they are not intended to be, i am just confuse but the story and drawings are execelent. i'm just tring to not mistaken anything. (this is kinda long, shoulod've i broken them up? or does people know what im talking?)

On Tokyopops website they tell you how many books will be out that year and those books will have the attached links. Whatever is in grey will be out the next year.
Only up to three is out

Sorry, your post was a little confusing. Maybe quotation marks would help.
'kun' is usually used towards boys, 'san' is for everyone. Haa-kun would most likely be Hatsuharu, Haa-san is probably Hatori.
There's a habit of shortening names in Fruits Basket. Or just twisting them around. Momiji is called 'Momitchi' just as Ayame calls Kyou 'Kyonkichi'. Ayame is Aya, Kisa is 'Sa-chan', Hatsuharu is 'Haa-kun', Yuki is 'Yun-chan', Shigure is 'Gure-san', Hatori is 'Haa-san' or 'Tori-san', etc.

Haa- is Hatsuharu...Momochi gives nicknames to people. I think he says "Haa" because he took the first letter in the name and the two a's.
Tohru is represented by the rice ball...not a turtle head.
I don't know the other stuff. But just because I don't know that doesn't mean I can't answer other questions about Fruits Basket. I am a big fan and do know a great deal about it..both the manga and the anime. So feel free to ask anything and I'll try to answer.

Oh, and zodiac spirits are not born in their respective years. Ayame, Shigure, and Hatori are the same age, as Momiji and Hatsuharu are. So it's possible for Yuki to be born in year of the monkey, even though he's the rat.

That is something I definetly don't know about. I have wondered that myself but no one I know could explain that to me either.

Bocchan means young master.

BalmungOAS: Could you please use the SHIFT key and use periods/commas in the right spots? Your posts are pretty hard to decipher at times because they seem like one gigantic run-on sentence. Thanks.

The fruits basket manga is usually very close to the anime. However, certain events are flipped. For instance, Ritsu and Hiro's entrance comes after Kyou's true form.
They would most likely get 'Haa' for Hatsuharu from taking 'Ha' from his name and elongating it. The Japanese writing system (hiragana) would break his name up in to Ha-tsu-ha-ru.
