This is kind of a small annoyance rather than a bug.

I've noticed that when I add a manga to my collection and then rate it, it says "seen some" instead of "read some." And then it asks you to pull down a menu and select either "subbed," "dubbed," "dubbed and edited," or "raw japanese."

Shouldn't it say maybe, I don't know, translated? instead? It just seemed weird to me because you can't listen to manga. If that's what you guys intended though, then I guess I can't let it bother me.

Confused

Well, this is an old issue; I've mentioned it more than three months ago here.

Yeah, that issue's been around for way too long and reported by way too many people, so I just made a fix that should take care of everything. For manga, the version is now one of the languages regularly selectable in the encyclopedia, and for anime it's the language+sub/dub/edited (except for Japanese which can only be raw). I also added "Comic book (pamphlet-style)" as a format for the manga side of My Collection.

Let me know how it handles.

Also, when you add a manga to "My Manga", and return to the lists...

... you wind up in "My Anime".

What's up with that?

And why is there no link to "My Manga" right below "My Anime" in the left-hand navigation column?

Thanks, Dan. However, what I don't understand is why Chinese has not been listed. I'm quite confident that in the case of manga there are more Chinese readers than all pan-European languages combined. Is there a reason not to include Chinese as an option? Maybe it's due to up to four versions (China/Hong Kong/Singapore/Taiwan) of translated titles? However, judging from posts by other ANNers I had a bad feeling for there might be "other" reasons for this issue....
