OK, not to get on a soap box and stroke the egos of the choir of what has become one of my churches (well, that may be a bit strong), but just a quick thanks to this website for guiding new comers like myself through what could have been a huge failure.
It would be interesting to know how many others are out there who are like me. I watched the "standards" back in high school and college (Akira, etc.) and I liked them, but back in those days, there were no series on TV (not like today anyway). So here I am, noticing all this anime on TV, not knowing what to think of it and I find this site. As you know, the first few series you watch can determine your opinion forever. It wouldn't take many poor shows for me to watch before I thought that anime was a waste of my time. Thanks to this site, with graphs, episode guides, reviews, polls, etc. I was able to weed out those I thought would not be for me. So I watched Gunslinger Girl, Samurai Champloo, GITS, FMA (this is a perfect example of one I wouldn't have given 5 min to if I just flipped to it), Death Note, etc. Well, now I am hooked. Keep up the good work! I don't know how much of this is a real team effort as opposed to multiple individual efforts, but it is working nonetheless. By the way, what happened to the Click? I don't see it's link anymore. |

You are very, very welcome, user with .02 posts per day! Keep up the good watching, and remember to take advantage of my compilation of many, many lists and recommendations sticked at the top of this forum. Yes, I did make all 1200+ entries myself.
