AS Form Thread

I was wondering if you think that AS should show Love Hina? I do. Do you think they should edit it? Cause I do. Youll find my reasons in that thread. LH on AS!

Love Hina's notorious for having one of the worst dubs in recent history. Do you really want to subject people to that?

Aside from that, I personally do not want to see Love Hina on Adult Swim, because it's one of the worst anime I've ever seen. It's overrated garbage with utterly unlikable characters, an insipid plot, and a constant barrage of the same three horrifically lame "jokes" over and over again (Keitaro accidentally cops a feel and gets his head caved in, Keitaro accidentally walks in on someone and gets his head caved in, Keitaro gets his head caved in for no reason, and repeat).

Ignore that thread. It's the same few people bumping it over and over again. They've been doing it for nearly a year. It won't happen.

Maybe your friend didn't get the right station. Or maybe its on like an expensive pay to see extra channel. Sorry but i'll believe some one from japan before Ill believe some one who has a friend in japan.

I just did some checking into Cartoon Network Japan and there is no mention of Adult Swim on the site, nor Adult Swim Shows in the program listings. It shows on SkyPerfecTV! They do have ANIMAX and Anime Theater X (AT-X) though.

But more to the point, when did light_inu_yasha say that they did have it in Japan?

You mean because his profile says Japan for the loc? That doesn't mean that he lives there. Could be visiting or something. He did refer to Detective Conan as Case Closed which is the American name for it. So I'll just ask him so I can find out. Smile

It'll never happen, for two reasons;

1. Love Hina's dreck.

2. It appels to the wrong audience. Look at the shows Adult Swim normally airs; Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Lupin III, Witch Hunter Robin, Big O. Notice something they all have in common? They ALL contain serious amounts of ass-kicking. This formula for action shows has been working thus far on Adult Swim, so why would they go and pick up a show like Love Hina?

Also, they already have two big shows coming up, Full Metal Alchemist and Ghost in the Shell: SAC. Why would they need more?

You think David Smith of IGN was bad? He ain't got nuthin' on F'in Otaku's Love Hina exposé, which had me in stitches.

I don't really have an opinion one way or the other about Love Hina airing on AS or not. I do agree that they are pretty much an action block, but I disagree that they only need 2 new shows. They are famous for replaying shows to death. How many times have I seen Bebop on there? More than I care to count. It would be nice for them to pick up more like 3 or 4 shows instead of just 2, so that the whole AS block will be new. But that's just my opinion.

His profile originally said "IL," as in Illinois.

I checked it once because I was curious as to whether his atrocious grammar was due to English being his second language or outright laziness. Guess which one it seems to be...
