If you want an even better video game work out, dig a little deeper into the closet and get out you Nintendo power pad.

Just to let everyone know here, it wasn't CNN who made that DDR report. It was the Associated Press (AP), and that news came out on Yahoo! News first.

I used to play DDR all the time like a year ago but it just got too much. My friend used to have all the Japanese imports (which were by far superior to the US releases) and we used to play for hours. I never really noticed getting a work out or anything. I never really got tired playing the game, well unless it was like any Max song or Paranoia. Damn, i gotta start playing again, that was fun.

I used to play DDR a couple of years ago. A friend of mine played it so much, he broke the dance pad (but it was the plastic one.)
I actually was going to try to save up for one of those metal ones, but I was just too out of shape to even keep up with the plastic one. And so, I just faded out of it. And thank goodness too, my friend who played it all of the time forgot to put his deoderant on sometimes . |

Haha, cool. Really interesting, its great that another alternative to traditional exercise has appeared. I try to play DDR but my eye-feet coordination is terrible. Makes me dizzy looking at all those arrows.

Good ole nostalgia of that game. Sigh. A lot of my friends got tired of it though. Sigh. Good things should never die.
Hope they dig it up again in a year or so. And for me, well, I was never really good at the game. Could never really do better than a standard level and such. Boy. Acctually, I was terrible. I think it's cause I have some problem with stepping too hard (acctually, that's also a problem when I run as well.). Heh. ^^; |
