I heard a rumor that in the second movie not only Naraku dies, but so does Kikyo. Someone said Naraku kills her, is this true?

Yes spoiler tags are very good in this case, I suggest renaming the thread and adding tags to your post.
spoiler[No, it's not in the second movie, rather somewhere in the TV series around episodes 120-128. Somewhere in there I'm not really sure. It's just after Naraku comes out of hiding after regenerating his body, a much more powerful body at that. He kills her by pushing her into a river of acid if I remember correctly.] |

not exactly
spoiler[in movie 2 Naraku didn't die, he just pretended to be dead so he could absorb Kaguya, and gain eternal life. HOWEVER on the tv show Naraku has allgedly killed Kikyo, but Inuyasha doesn't believe she's dead, so he went off to look for her] i'm probably behind though cause i haven't watched it in decades. got boring. and btw, it's not acid, it's Miasma(sp?), the evil energy |

Isn't she techinically dead anywya? She is some sort of ghost, as I gather, which leads me to believe that she's dead.

spoiler[It is true that she dies in episode 124. It looks like Naraku's arm stretches from his body, his hand becoming somewhat of a tree branch, and goes THROUGH her midsection. Then she falls in the river. InuYasha doesn't think she's dead because a demon disguises themself as a human and tells of a young priestess with amazing powers in a nearby village...obviously lying to get InuYasha separated from the others.]
I just really want to see InuYasha and Sesshomaru fight in the third movie ! |

Actually, after that, (according to the manga),
spoiler[Everyone thought Kikyo died, but she didn't'. She was really weak and hid herself real deep so no one knew her presence. Kagome finds her and heals her, so she hasn't gone away yet.] |

I watch the second movie using [EDIT - No P2P -C]. Was also!
Naraku died just to lure the demon Kaguya. In the begining of this movie, InuYsha have a fight with Naraku. He used his Kaze-no-Kizu and destroy Naraku bory, who went into a temporary coma and made the Kazanna of Miroku disappear. All this was just a trip. Naraku did that because he intend to absorb Kaguya. Anyway, the best part of this movie is the kiss betwen Kagome and InuYasha. |

Only Rumiko Takahashi can create manga where the two romantic leads take so long to have a snog.

Yeah, I figured. If spoiler[ she was really dead, then Kagome would have felt that other part of her soul coming back to herself.] |

There is a lot of romance on this movie.
spoiler[One night Kagome and InuYasha are talking about the Shikon no Tama and if he still wants to become a true youkai. His answer is Yes, of corse. On this point, Kagome look in InuYasha eyes and say that She likes the way he is now. They almost have a kiss in this moment, but Kaguya show up and start a fight with InuYasha. Well, i'm not going to tell the end of this movie, but is a excelent anime for the fans of InuYasha.] Last edited by Bandido_usa on Sat Jan 03, 2004 1:50 pm; edited 1 time in total |
