Carnival Phantasm

Based off the Take Moon manga by Eri Takenashi, Carnival Phantasm is light hearted short stories with the Tsukihime / Melty Blood and Fate / Stay night series. Ranging from the magical girl Kaleido-Ruby and Phantas-Moon, to the Back Alley Alliance plus game shows and everything in-between. With plenty of cross-over interaction because the Nasuverse wasn't confusing as is. Almost forgot about Neko-Arc and plenty of Tiger Dojos for all those bad ends.

Season 1 should be released tomorrow (the 14th in Japan) season 2+3 have been green lit (it's up on the website news part) with S2 being released in October and S3 being released in December with a LE copy of Melty Blood: Actress Again [current code] for the PC.

Watch out for spoilers, it's best if you have at least watched the anime or better yet read the VNs for both Tsukihime / F/SN and played MB. Fair warning, seeing as this OVA is tailored for die hard fans of T-M.

I want to watch this because the trailers posted a while back were very amusing. However, I've only seen F/SN, Canaan, and the first 2 KnK movies out of the Type Moonverse, so I don't know if I'd be able to "get" the humor, especially since 2 of the 3 I have seen aren't in the show.

I'd feel like a new anime fan trying to watch Lucky Star. Sure, you'd find the general jokes funny, but there'd be a lot of stuff going over your head. I like "getting" my comedies.

I'll still check out the first few episodes to see if someone out of the loop such as myself can still find some entertainment, but if I start feeling left out, I'll have to drop it.
