Well, just today I had someone in a forum and in school say to me that I watch anime in a fast pace O_o/ I've seen 81 anime series and only started to watch at summer, I really enjoy anime that's why I always watch it when I have time, I usually finish a series in 1 day (only if it's really good) with 12 eps or so. Most of the anime I've seen has less then 25 episodes xD. I feel like they're saying I'm rushing it or something O_o. Is there a problem watching this many anime series in a couple of months O_o??
Thank you

Sounds fine to me.
When I had plenty of free time I used to get through 26 episodes or so a day, considering the sheer amount of anime out there you need to watch it at a good speed if you want to see it all.
I like watching a series in one sitting as well it makes it feel like one really long movie and I really get into the story and characters.

If that's how you like to watch anime then go for it. My only advice would be this; Since you're in school don't neglect your studies, and don't let it consume your life. Don't forget to do stuff with friends and go outside and all that wonderful stuff. You don't want your hobby of watching anime to consume you and alienate you from everyone because you're watching anime ALL the time. Other then that watch how ever much you want. I myself vary from watching an episode or two a day to a dvd or two a day. Depends on my schedule.

Okay, if you you think you're pace is fast I'm planning on watching 100 more anime in the next year and a half before I graduate from high school. Last summer and winter vacation I finished a total of 50 series and I'm currently at a total of 199 anime completed. I'm almost done watching another series and thus begins my 100 in the next year and a half. I have a goal of 300 completed anime before I graduate. Plus theres still a ton of ongoing series that I'm currently watching so I have a pretty hectic pace.

I was sick from work one day, so I decided to curl up and watch some anime that my friend let me borrow.
Episodes 1-49 of Macross 7.... I never hated a character so much in my life! (Basara). "Dancing on the planet DAAANNCEEE!!!!" ARGH!!! It was insane, and it didn't make me feel much better, being sick and everything.
I told myself I wouldn't ever do that again... I'm fine watching 26 episodes in one sitting though. Even if it's one that I don't care for.
Hmm, yes don't neglect your friends at all. I don't feel that I neglect my friends but since they assume that I play World of Warcraft all the time that I have no time to go out and do things. Therefore they don't invite me out. Friends are good...

I'll tell you this now, since I also watch crap loads of anime as fast as I can. It becomes hard to remember names of characters/Gundam Models when you watch so much and you might get lost in the future......that's the main problem with me right now, I have 800+ series/movies completely watched at this moment and 500 of them were just from the last 2 years, mostly the summer, and I can only watch anime once a week. On a Sunday, where I dedicate myself to an all day spree of it. But after marathoning and packing it in, names get jumbled up and sometimes you just don't catch it until the end of the show. Now I can watch more when I want but my all day spree still goes on!!, however that just adds to the cofusion. But it's AWESOME!!!, not the best way to watch anime but AWESOME.

I wish I had that much time. I watched anime about that much during the summer, but now I've started to watch only about 2-3 hours a day : / . It's a very different feel, because the series is stretched out and you have time to think about the series and where it's going. I've also slowed down since I caught up to Bleach and Death Note (definitely favorites of mine) and I only get an episode a week.
I don't think I've ever done 26 episodes in a sitting. My maximum might be around 15-20, but I'll either get hungry, tired, or feel a little ADD. At that point I need to take a break for a while. It makes the good series last longer, so I'm content ^^.

The only way you can be watching anime "too fast" is if you're watching it at a pace that doesn't allow you to appreciate it as much as you could/would like to. I kind of hit that spot myself for a couple months when I was following over 30 shows at the same time while trying to also watch some classics at the same time. The result? I got more caught up in finishing them than enjoying them. Currently, I've had to cut back to less than I would like (maybe three hours total during the week) due to my surprisingly hard class schedule; but ideally, I would like to watch around 4-5 episodes a night with a couple minutes break for snacks and mind reseting time between each one. It's not a race to see how much anime you can watch, and if you do think it's a race, I think you're missing the point.

I used to follow 10 to 15 series at the same time but I jumbled the storylines and the names together. When it gets a mess in your head you're really watchng too much.
Now I don't watch that much anime anymore at the same time, due to college, girlfriend, football and the regular tv shows (like Rome, Stargate and Battlestar Galactica).

Ahh, that's another thing now. I have plenty of other tv shows to watch now including Monk, Psych, Stargate Sg-1/Atlantis (when it comes back on), The Dresden FIles, Supernatural, Smallville and X-play and Attack of the Show...so my anime time is getting cut down.

That's exactly it!! I used to love anime and actually ENJOYED them until one of my friends came along and started watching anime, he is trying to race with me now!! I don't like it, I just want to enjoy watching anime, but now there's this different feeling everytime I watch anime. I've even took a 2 weeks break from anime, I mostly watch 1-3 eps after I've finished doing work and other things at night now.

I really don't have nothing to say about that. Im the same way when I think about it. I can finish a series in a day. When I finish it I start looking for another good series to watch. If I don't have it I go and buy it. I just can't help myself I love anime thats all there is to it.

During last year when I didn't have to work, I used to watch 3 to 6 episodes per day (mostly 3), and ended up finishing the series in a week or so. Now that I have to work and prepare myself for university entrance exams (and thus I'll have to go to university in the future, as well), my ratio of episodes has been severely cut, the most I do is watch a single episode at night. In fact, I just got here an hour and a half ago, and took all of that time to get a rest from marathoning through the city the whole day and to eat dinner, and in 20 to 40 minutes I"ll have to be in bed or I'll never make it to the end of tomorrow. So that's why now I'm watching a single episode per day, alternating them between different series that are currently airing.
When I could watch a ton of anime per day (my first anime watching days were like that, finishing half a series in a day), I usually had alot of problems to remember what exactly happened thorought it. I remembered how it started, what happened in a general way, and how it ended, but I forgot all the small details, which I discovered later when speaking to a friend that has a lot slower pace for watching anime (but he's been into this longer than me, so he's had more time xD). Now I can remember things better... but I'm so bad at names that I end up confusing myself in most of times >.<

There's nothing wrong in watching anime in a short period of time.
But make sure you understand what you're watching and don't ever use fast forward... You can't understand it...
Don't mind the people around you saying this like "blah, blah things cause you're watching anime too fast...", because you know you're doing nothing wrong...
And also watch it as long as it doesn't hinder your studies or work or anything that is vital in everyday life,...
