We've officially gone from goggle boys to what seems like a glasses boy, with some ginormous crocs. I know a lot of people didn't vibe with Ghost Game (personally I loved GeGeGe no Kitaro but with digimon as yokai), so maybe this will give them that more overarching plot-driven show

As for Beyond, it's a lot of weird but cute fanservice. Kakudo really just throwing a bunch of fragmented imagery onto the wall, and regardless of whether it manifests into anything more it's still nice to see his vision for the future of Adventure

I always been a Digimon stan for a lack of better world. While I don't love every Digimon series, I at least enjoyed them some extent and I will go to bat for the franchise when most people just won't. So you could say I'm a true believer if you would. So I definitely going to watch it. We really don't know anything about this series yet but GG was pretty enjoyable so I am interested if anything else.

I wish we lived in a timeline where Sailor Moon, and Evangelion had the same treatment as Digimon.

One story is done?

Move on to the other one, but don't let it die.

A new anime and a card game app is all I could have ever asked for. I also asked for a new Digimon Story game and that was confirmed awhile ago already. Glad to see some good news after a few lackluster years for the franchise.

Here's hoping Beatbreak turns out better than Ghost Game writing wise.

In my opinion Ghost Game had pretty good writing. I liked all the main characters and how varied each monster of the week's motivation was. Only the overarching plot wasn't so great.

This new anime so far seems unconnected from other Digimon series, which is a plus in my eyes.

I would do anything to make a real version of Digimon Adventure -Beyond- happen. Didn't they crowdfund for the video? Can we crowdfund for a movie or series? I'll hold a bake sale!!

Nothing about network or timeslot in the video. With Fuji TV presently in disgrace, it’ll be interesting to see if it stays with them. If it does, its home timeslot is currently hosting Run For Money: The Great Mission, so that might be in its final year, but maybe Digimon will jump to late night like One Piece is doing in April.

Praying for Crunchyroll to stream this, and for Toei to allow them to do a simuldub.

Great Mission finishes this month, and is being replaced by the Kitaro rerun specials in April. Those likely won't run for too long, and two cours sounds about right to get a handful of standout eps from all 6 Kitaros, so it seems all set up for Digimon to likely take over that slot in the Fall.

They will likely stream it, yes.
Don't count on a simuldub, though. Especially not one done at CR's studios...
Toei directly oversees their dubs, and for a franchise like Digimon a simuldub schedule is probably too hectic considering any approvals that'd have to be made.

I am sure that this Digimon flick will be dubbed into English. If I am wrong, will you please tell me why everything in the Digimon franchise not featuring Tai and his crew is skipped as far as the English dubs are concerned?

Might sound like I am complaining, maybe I am, but this is an observations, I am sure this will be good.

But let's be real here, Digimon has suddenly become what Pokemon used to be pre Horizons. Pokemon just couldn't let go of Ash, let go of Team Rocket, and do something different. They finally do and what Horizons which is awesome.

Digimon has gone that route with Adventures, can we do something different? If we have to go back to old series, how about give Tamers a shot. I am not saying we are there yet, but I hope Digimon does not enter the territory that Pokemon by shoving Ash and Team Rocket down our throat.

Nobody's sure what's going on with Ghost Game but with Appmon, Toei gave up after their French dub flopped.

The crowdfunding was for a promotional thing where they taped a bunch of Brave Heart cassette tapes onto a wall in Tokyo that passersby could peel off and take with them

After watching "Digimon Adventure -Beyond-":
THIS! Do THIS, for crying out loud. Not whatever the hell Tri was. This looked cool. The original and the 02 kids grown up, still working together and looking cool as hell. Ken looks badass, and they even made Joe look cool. Nobody wants that "deep" dark brooding BS that Tri was. We want happy, exciting, uplifting stories. Why do you think Precure has been going non-stop for 20+ years?
