Seems cute. I've been reading the manga, so definitely checking it out.

I would jump on this but the age gap is irredeemable for me. Especially if they're billing this as a romance!? Gross.

I will give this a try since it is unlikely to make me feel squicky (been having a good run recently).
But why Irish music for an English girl? Hope it does not restart the Troubles.

Why are you an anime fan...also you literally like K-On, it has a bunch of "underage girls", sure there is no romance, but point stands.
But yeah, anime looks cute, will definitely be watching

This looks adorable! And making good use of Sally Maki being bilingual. They won't even need to dub her over!

Let's not pretend there aren't absolute swathes of anime that do not cater to, or otherwise have, elements which might believably turn off all sorts of people (age gaps, gore and violence, shitty protagonists, so forth). Entire genres virtually lack in it, with girl-centered SOL works and magical girls being easy examples. This is not the same thing as walking into a kink sphere, and asking for something not to do with obviously unhealthy or imbalanced dynamics, non/dubcon, whatever.

It does not. Perhaps if milkyy's avatar was from Ro-Kyu-Bu!, Kodomo no Jikan, Ryuo no Oshigoto and Tsugumomo, but the laidback show about cute band girls doing silly things and ambling through life they are not. It's not as if underage protagonists are in lockstep with being paired up with adults (and/or sexualizing them as in the prior examples). There is no contradiction in being turned off by this, and I'm speaking as someone apathetic about it. (Although it's still an easy pass for me. Looks kinda boring, personally.)

Am I missing something? How do you even know what their ages are?

They're listed in the fourth chapter of the manga, he's 18, she's 13.
Personally I have no problem with it, the manga is charming.
